The Alligator Wedding is right around the corner and we have to do something very special for our two rescued alligators, Soni and Chompers. We are going to try and build them a new outdoor alligator pool for the wedding! An outdoor alligator pool is something I've always dreamed of, ever since we moved the alligators into the Alligator House in 2020. So why haven't installed an outdoor pool yet? It all has to do with money. Outdoor pools are extremely expensive and keeping both alligators isn't cheap! But ever since we had our friends Savannah and Danny from @gatorlandvlogs come and help us introduce the two alligators for the first time, their #1 suggestion was an outdoor pool. Not only would it provide great enrichment for our alligators, it will help them get healthier and lose a couple pounds! By going in and out of a pool outside in the sun, it will help Soni and Chompers burn some calories! So what if I could find a local concrete company to help us out? Dig a small outdoor pool? Nothing fancy or too expensive, just (as Savannah puts it) an "alligator wallow"??? So I contacted City Of Trees Construction, a local concrete company located in Boise, Idaho. And with the help of our friend and owner of Kerry Hill Winery, Mindy Mayer, we made our dream a reality! An OUTDOOR ALLIGATOR POOL! But we have a problem...the wedding is coming up soon. Will the alligator pool be ready in time for the wedding? Will the alligators be scared of the new pool? Watch this alligator video to find out!
