Arm is expected to announce new CPU and GPU designs in the next few months and according to new info on the chips, the Cortex-X5, codenamed Blackhawk, will "eliminate the performance gap between Arm-designed processors and custom Arm implementations." In other words it could be faster than Apple's CPUs.
