I decided to film parts of the journey from Stoke-on-Trent to Milton Keynes Central, we were running almost on time, until Rugby where we encountered some problems. Due to someone being hit on the mainline between Rugby and Milton Keynes Central, the train had to be diverted via Northampton. Which meant we were over 1/2 late getting to MKC and it made for quite an interesting journey! Fortunately, the incident hadn't occurred elsewhere- as if the fatality had have happened somewhere else, where an alternative route wasn't available- the whole WCML would have been put of action for several hours!
