The CSMT - Madgaon Junction Jan Shatabdi Express is a Superfast Express train belonging to Indian Railways - Konkan Railway division that runs between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and Madgaon in India.
It operates as train number 12051 from CSMT to Madgaon Junction and as train number 12052 in the reverse direction. During monsoon timetable , 12052 will not go in reverse direction due to time clash. So it will rest at Madgaon Junction coming from CSMT and next day that same rake will originate from Madgaon Junction. It is one of the fastest and longest route running Jan Shatabdi train in Konkan Railways and is immensely popular amongst the people travelling to Konkan and Goa. Earlier this train used to originate/terminate at Dadar Terminus in Mumbai.
This train has presently has 1 Vistadome Coach, 3 AC Chair Car , 10 Second Class Jan Shatabdi seating coaches , 1 SLR Coach & 1 Generator Car.
It covers the distance of 572 kilometers in 8 hours 40 mins (65.26 km/hr) as train number 12051 & in 9 hours (66.52 km/hr) as train number 12052.
This train runs via Dadar, Thane, Panvel, Chiplun, Ratnagiri, Kankavali, Kudal, Sawantwadi Road, Thivim to Madgaon Junction.
Both trains are hauled by GOC WDP-4B or 4D.

Ernakulam–Duronto is a weekly Durunto Express which runs between Kochi, and the national capital New Delhi. It is the longest running Durunto Express in India. It runs through the scenic Konkan Railway. This is the first Duronto express to Kerala and the longest running Duronto express in Indian Railways.
This weekly service is supplied with LHB rake having 7 non-AC three -tier sleeper coaches, 4 AC three-tier coaches, 1 AC two-tier coaches, 1 AC first-class, 1 pantry car and 2 EOG cars making a total of 16 coaches runs approximately 44 hours for one-way journey.
It has halts at Ernakulam Junction, Kozhikode, Mangalore Junction, Madgaon Junction, Ratnagiri, Panvel Junction, Vasai Road, Vadodara Junction, Ratlam Junction, Kota Junction to Hazrat Nizamuddin.
The train is hauled by Ghaziabad-based WAP7 or WAP5 up to Vadodara and from there it get Ernakulam based WDM-3A / WDP-4D up to Mangaluru handing over Erode based WAP-7 towards the remaining part of the journey till Ernakulam.
Karmali railway station (station code: KRMI) is the third station (after Pernem and Tivim) within Goa, when entering from the north, under the jurisdiction of Konkan Railway. Karmali railway station is closest railway station to the State capital Panjim or Panaji, which is the administrative capital of Goa, and is located in the central part of Goa.
It falls under Karwar railway division of Konkan Railway zone, a subsidiary zone of Indian Railways.
It lies is in Carambolim (also called Karmali) village of the Tiswadi sub-district of Goa State. Madgaon railway station in South Goa district is the largest, while Thivim railway station in North Goa comes at second place. The former is a gateway to South Goa, Margao, the urban area of Vasco da Gama and also the beaches of South Goa, while the latter is a gateway to Mapusa town, the emigration-oriented sub-district of Bardez and also the North Goa beach belt.
In February 2016, The Times of India newspaper suggested that there had been a "Lack of basic amenities for commuters at Karmali station".[1] Issues raised about the functioning of Karmali included unpunctual trains, discontinuation of the Jan Shatabdi Express and poor conditions.
