MASALA DOODH
Serves: 2 to 3
Prep time : 5 min
Cooking time : 20 min
Course : Hot beverages
INGREDIENTS
1 big bowl full fat milk
2 tbsp almonds
2 tbsp cashew nuts
2 tbsp pistachio
1 tbsp chironji
1 pinch kesar
Masala
¼ tsp black pepper
1 tsp saunf
4 pcs cardamom
1 tbsp dried rose petal
1 tbsp sugar
For garnish
1 tsp almonds
1 tsp cashew nuts
1 tsp pistachio
1 small pinch kesar
Method
Heat milk in a thick bottomed iron kadai and allow it to reduce.
Meanwhile, pound all the nuts together in a mortar pestle.
Add saffron and pounded nuts to the pan and continue cooking.
Separately pound all the masalas with sugar to a powder.
Add this into milk and cook further for 5 min.
Pour the reduced milk into glasses, serve hot with almond, cashew nuts, pistachio and kesar.
