READ ALONG TO PRACTICE YOUR ENGLISH AND TO LEARN THE MEANING OF READ BETWEEN THE LINES: So sometimes when people are talking to you they don't say exactly what they mean. They don't come right out and ask you what they want to ask you, and you need to read between the lines. So let's look at an example of this. Maybe you're talking to your sister and she's talking about how she didn't have enough money to go out and buy groceries the day before. She mentions that she doesn't have enough money to pay the bills, and she mentions that she doesn't have enough money to pay for her tuition at university. If you read between the lines your sister might be asking you for money. She just might not want to come right out and ask it. So when you read between the lines you listen to everything people are saying and you kind of have to guess what they're actually saying or what they mean.
