This is the first session in "Nakamoto 101," a series of short videos breaking down the main concepts from the 2008 Bitcoin Whitepaper in laypeople's terms. This series is a Fall 2020 collaboration between University of British Columbia's Bitcoin & Blockchain Club and Vancouver nonprofit Carpe Lunam Events Association, with the sessions prepared and presented by Chelsea Palmer and Alex Salkeld, and corresponding discussion groups led by Zakir Suleman.
This first video covers the Introduction section of Satoshi Nakamoto's Bitcoin whitepaper, laying the groundwork for the context in which Bitcoin was introduced, the problems it sought to solve, and the solution which we'll break down piece by piece for the rest of the whitepaper.
Get in touch with Chelsea Palmer with any questions or suggestions, or feel free to leave them here via comments. This is intended as a living, growing project, and if we get enough suggested tweaks to a given section, we may re-record it.
