Speaker Biography: Dr Wong-Ho earned her PhD in Molecular and Medical Pharmacology at the University of California, Los Angeles, studying the viral pathogenesis, from oncolytic herpesviruses to human coronaviruses. Her professional career includes 15 years in the life sciences industry, spanning tools and assay development from microfluidics, automation to single cell sequencing. As Oncology product manager at Thermo Fisher Scientific, she is responsible for the developing and managing the Oncomine Comprehensive Assay Plus for comprehensive genomic profiling.
Prof. Staebler is the senior attending pathologist for Gynecologic and Breast Pathology at the Institute of Pathology and Neuropathology of Tuebingen University in Germany. She studied Medicine at Ludwig-Maximilian-University in Munich. After postdoctoral research on Papilloma Viruses in Georgetown University, Washington DC, she trained as a resident in Anatomic Pathology and as Te Linde Fellow in Gynecologic Pathology with Robert J. Kurman at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore. Her research is focused on the application of molecular tests in gynecologic pathology, both within clinical research studies and as part the daily diagnostic process.

In her presentation Prof. Staebler will share data generated by new Genomic Assessment Metrics (GIM) software for HRD assessment, and Oncomine Comprehensive Assay Plus. The samples tested were previously tested by standard legacy method for HRD assessment and a comparison will be shared.
