One mistake people often make is storing their pet food in a plastic container. Have you ever cooked tomato soup in a plastic bowl? Something similar can happen with the fats in your dog's food and the plastic container. Not only that, but your pet food can also retain some of the plastic, and that's the last thing we want.

The best option for pet food storage is to use the container it originally came in! Most pet foods come in bags that are designed to hold that food without an issue. We recommend rolling the top of the bag, clipping it shut to keep the food fresh and rodents out, and storing the entire bag in a container.
