The Canadian Network for Equity and Racial Justice hosted a launch on Friday, June 7, 2024 in Ottawa, ON at the Ottawa Art Gallery, as a hybrid event both in-person and online.
The launch featured speakers from the Governments of Canada, Mexico, and the United States as well as leaders from Canadian civil society organizations involved in labour, media, and anti-racism advocacy. There were performances from Indigenous and racialized artists.

Background:
The Canadian Network for Equity and Racial Justice is a tri-national network of experts and organizations committed to equity and racial justice.
The Canadian Network for Equity and Racial Justice (CNERJ) will be responsible for setting up the Canadian chapter of that trilateral network, and in doing so will actively engage with representatives of the community, business, media, academia, education, philanthropic, labour, arts, sport, and health sectors. CNERJ is supported by Ontario Council of Agencies Serving Immigrants (OCASI), Colour of Poverty - Colour of Change (COP-COC) and the Chinese Canadian National Council for Social Justice (CCNC-SJ). CNERJ is funded by the Canadian Government, Department of Canadian Heritage.
