When you think of an aluminum snare drum, what is the first snare drum you think of?
The Ludwig Supraphonic.
Although, there are so many other underrated aluminum snare drums on the market that achieve the same, and dare I say, a better sound than the Supraphonic.

In addition to the design, this thin shell allows the drum to resonate even with a thicker drum head like the Remo Emperor X!
This example shows there is always room to improve on a classic drum design for the better.
