I was a little hesitant to buy this deck but I am so glad that I did. I was worried about the cardstock because Schiffer is notorious for its thick card stock with a high gloss finish that causes the cards to stick. However, the cardstock on this deck is exceptional. It still has the high gloss finish but it is slick and does not stick. The edges are silver gilded, and the thickness of the cards is just right. They shuffle like a dream. This is a set so it comes with a nice little guidebook. It has 110 pages. There is a small color image of each card and it provides both upright and reversed meanings. My only complaint about this deck is that the lettering is sometimes difficult to see. Especially if there is a light background. Other than that, I'm very pleased. One thing to keep in mind is that there are no numbers on the Major Arcana and only numbers on the Minor Arcana. You really have to pay attention to the minors as some of the images make it difficult to tell what card it's supposed to be. The symbolism is not traditional even though this deck does follow the RWS system.
This was a compilation deck so there are a few different creators. They are, Julia Iredale, Molly Applejohn, Eden Cook and Krista Gibbard. This was published by Red Feather which is associated with Schiffer Publishing Ltd.
