hile I have Zelph's Fancee Feest stove and the SuperLite Backpacking Alcohol Stove on the bench and the camera is still setup I thought I might as well do a flame test.
I put 30 ml of methanol in each stove and let them set for over 5 minutes so the linners would get soaked. The SuperLite Backpacking Alcohol Stove was a little tough to light but I think that might have been because the carbon fiber liner was so low in the stove.
But Zelph's Fancee Feest stove was really hard to light. I think there maybe a couple reasons for that. Maybe the Fancee Feest needs more alcohol than 1 fluid ounce to start. Plus the fiberglass liner might not more alcohol as easy as carbon fiber does.
I might add that my stove, with the same amount of alcohol as the other two stoves, lit right up. The fact that my stove has been used over one hundred times where the other two have never be lit might be a cause too. We'll see.
