As part of our ongoing Save the Male Voice Choirs documentary, we're not only filming choir performances the length and breadth of the country, but we're also talking to the who's who of the performing arts world as well!
Having already received support from Michael Sheen, Rob Brydon, Cerys Matthews, Sian Lloyd and Aneurin Barnard, we've also held interviews with Sophie Evans and Boyd Clack.
Sophie Evans is a professional singer and actress, best known for her starring role as Dorothy in Andrew Lloyd Webber's West End production of 'The Wizard of Oz'. She also starred in in 'The World's End', the final instalment of Simon Pegg's, Nick Frost's and Edgar Wright's 'Cornetto Trilogy'. She frequently performs and has featured as a guest performer with 'Only Men Aloud!'.
Boyd Clack is a Welsh writer, actor and musician. He has acted in 'Twin Town' with Rhys Ifans, 'Satellite City' and 'High Hopes' (the latter two of which he also co-wrote). He has released two albums, 'Welsh Bitter' and 'Labourer of Love'.
Both staunch supporters of the Male Voice Choir, they have different views on whether younger members should be integrated in order to keep the choirs alive.
We thank them for their support in the making of this film!
