Senior Technician at STEM Learning, Helen Rose, sets the challenge of cleaning an oil spill.
She simulates a small-scale oil spill and investigates methods of cleaning it up by creating a boom to absorb and contain the oil.
Linking into an environmental and oceans theme the activity is suitable for young people of all ages and can be carried out at home and in the class room.
