OVERVIEW:
Treasure Island Beach is a beach with multiple coves in Laguna Beach. It is at the bottom of a the Montage Hotel, which sits on a cliff. There is public access to the beach, along with beautifully landscaped paths at the top of the cliffs along the hotel. There are multiple tide pools around the beach.
Pirate Tower is a large old castle tower embedded into the cliffside. It is just north of Victoria Beach, which is about a mile north of Treasure Island Beach. Getting to Victoria Beach involves walking down a neighborhood street. Pirate Tower is just around the corner from Victoria Beach, with tide pools to explore there as well.
PARKING:
There is a very small paid parking lot next to the Montage Hotel at the top of Treasure Island Beach: Laguna Beach Parking Garage, Coast-Wesley, Laguna Beach, CA 92651
There’s also metered parking along Pacific Coast Highway and in the surrounding neighborhood streets. As of publishing this, there is a shopping center across the street from the Montage that’s for shopper parking only. However, there is a closed-down Safeway with an underground parking structure. The signs still say its for Safeway parking only, but since the store has been shut down, many visitors park there. However, park there at your own risk.
For Victoria Beach and Treasure Island, there is metered parking along Pacific Coast Highway and in surrounding neighborhood streets.
You can also park in one place, and either walk between the two beaches along PCH, or take the free laguna trolley (we did both).
