Nat has done extensive research with North Korean refugees and defectors. He is the co-author of "A Quiet Opening, North Koreans in a Changing Media Environment," a groundbreaking study of the use and effects of foreign media on North Koreans. He currently serves as the associate director of Intermedia, a global consulting firm that assists international development agencies and philanthropic foundations.
