Your life's not a single track highway, it's at least a three lane highway, and the way I see it is that there's the, there's the fast lane - that's your career, your profession. There's the middle lane - that's how you relate to people, your partnerships, your team, your partner, children, so on, and community. And then there's the inside lane which is you personally. In the competitive world that we're in, the, the difference between winning and losing is tiny, I mean, it was only point zero nine of a second between Michael Phelps having eight gold medals or six. Being a genius or a legend, or being a disappointment. You'd never forgive yourself if the reason you didn't have that was 'cause you hadn't managed the other two lanes. And you certainly don't want to be suffering on the inside lane, you personally - your health and well-being, 'cause you didn't manage the other two properly. The fact is, all three lanes, you've got to develop in and perform in. If any one of them goes down, the other two follow.
