On July 19, 2022, indie pop singer/songwriter and Michigan native, Jason Singer (Michigander), joined us at the Leon Loft with bandmate Jake LeMond for an intimate live performance and interview with Acoustic Cafe's, Rob Reinhart.
Performing as Michigander, Singer is a nationally known artist with glowing press features and millions of streams globally. His popular 2016 single, "Nineties," helped Michigander crack 1 million streams on Spotify. Together, Singer and LeMond performed acoustic renditions from their latest album, “Everything Will Be Ok Eventually” (released March 19, 2021) including “Better” and “Let Down”. They also included music from their upcoming project It Will Never Be The Same (releasing March 2023) including “Stay Out Of It ” and “East Chicago, IN”. This was Michigander’s first time at the Loft and their first time performing live on Acoustic Cafe.

In between songs, Michigander discussed his recent move to Nashville, the perks of creating music with a team, celebrating his 30th birthday, and returning to familiar territory—Michigan.
