Virtual Reality pornography is already with us, along with predictions that sex robots will be commonplace by 2025. Many believe this threatens to corrupt love and undermine relationships, yet some think it liberation's next step. Should we endorse a future where sexual desires can be satisfied by machines? Or is this a dangerous dream that could radically alter the fabric of society?
Kate Devlin is a computer scientist and senior lecturer at Goldsmiths University, specializing in AI and human-computer interaction. In 2016, she ran Europe's first sex tech hackathon.
Alan Winfield is Professor of Robot Ethics at UWE Bristol, and an expert on AI and Cognitive Robotics. Part of his work focuses on developing new standards of ethics in robotics.
Best-known by her pen-name Belle de Jour, Brooke Magnanti is an award-winning blogger, research scientist and author of Sex, Lies and Statistics.
