A brigade from the People's Liberation Army's Tibet Military Area Command conducted a live-ammunition firing drill in a high-altitude area of Tibet, which is over 4,600 metres (15,000ft) above sea level, according to Chinese state broadcaster CCTV.
A commander said the training, which included enemy attack and satellite reconnaissance, aimed to improve the PLA's combat capability on the plateau.
