IMMISCIBLE LIQUIDS
We talked about solutes and discovered that not all things are soluble in water. Let’s see if we can create a colorful experiment knowing that two things are NOT soluble which is called immiscible.
Supply List
• Clear cup
• Water
• Oil
• Food coloring
• Alka Seltzer Tablet
Instructions
• Fill the cup about a ¼ full with water
• Dye the water a color
• Fill the rest of the cup with oil
• Drop in an Alka seltzer tablet and you have a homemade lava lamp!
