The complete plot of Vagrant Story. All the cut-scenes, nearly all bosses, Break Arts for all weapons and tonnes of extra notes to expand the story. (Note that none of the notes contain spoilers for later videos but some may explain events in the current videos in better detail.)
Most information in the notes comes from the VS Ultimania translation at www34.brinkster.com/worldshards/translations/trans.htm , Square Wiki, the game manual, the official strategy guide by Piggyback, Collins dictionary and from the game itself. (Oh, and a whole load of googling too)
♪ Müllenkamp, The Headquarters of the VKP, Climax of the Graylands case♫
Introduction -
In a most heinous crime, the manor of Duke Bardorba of Valendia Kingdom was seized by a cult of religious fanatics known as Müllenkamp. Although several innocents were murdered, news of the incident was suppressed, and Sydney Losstarot, the leader of Müllenkamp, has not been seen since.
Duke Bardorba was away during the seizure of the manor and escaped the atrocities. Yet one week later, an unknown assailant took the Duke’s life. Riskbreaker Ashley Riot, a member of the Valendia Knights of Peace (VKP) entrusted with breaking the cultists hold on the manor, was named as a suspect at a meeting of parliament. He disappeared shortly after the accusation.
During the week between the incident and the Dukes assassination, suspected assassin Ashley riot made a peculiar trip to a city lost to memory…
The deserted city of Leá Monde.
Leá Monde, now a shell of its former glory, housed more than 5000 people during the golden age. Its prosperity ended 25 years ago when a powerful earthquake struck the city.
High tidal waters rushed in to fill the rift in the earth left by the earthquake, cutting the city off from the outside world. Above the waters, the land shifted and twisted, losing much of its former shape. Beneath the city, where monks had once worked the stone into chambers and passageways, the vast, labyrinthine tomb became a home for the souls of the dead.
What really happened in the haunted City? Did Ashley really assassinate the Duke? Only by reliving the events can we uncover the truth.

Valendia-
Valendia is a city-state founded 1,500 years Before the Graylands Incident (BGI) by King Nalzarc the First. For 1,200 years the House Nalzarc continued to rule the kingdom peacefully, until the power shifted to the Regency of Gurunas. Under the regency, Valendia suffered as corrupt politicians of House Gurunas squandered resources and practiced cronyism and nepotism. Other noble houses could only watch helplessly as corruption and misery spread across the kingdom, wishing that rule be returned to House Nalzarc.
36 years BGI, the noble houses banded together, sparking the Valendian Civil War. It is during this war that House Bardorba rose to prominence for helping House Nalzarc and the other noble houses win against House Gurunas 2 years into the war. The government then shifts from despotic monarchy to constitutional monarchy, with the Valendian National Council, or Parliament, formed to assist the King. Valendia was known as the New Valendian Kingdom. House Bardorba became a strong and influential voice in the rulings of the Parliament.
The kingdom's capital city is Valnain, an elegant Parisian city where the King's Palace, the Parliament building and the Valendia Knights of the Peace, or VKP, headquarters are located.

VKP -
The Valendia Knights of the Peace, also known by its acronym VKP, is an organization under the direct command of the Valendia National Council, working night and day to keep the peace of the land. The VKP is divided into several groups according to duties performed. In the game, four groups are documented;
The Peaceguard - responsible for the safety of the citizenry.
The Kingsguard - responsible for the safety of nobles,
Inquisitors - tasked for interrogating criminals and investigating crimes.
Riskbreakers - Call sign of the Dangerous Criminal Task Force that clamps down on serious crimes that threaten to undermine the security of the state. Riskbreakers conduct their investigations alone, infiltrating and investigating dangerous criminal organisations over long periods of time, which always puts the individuals at great risk. Many lose their lives during their assignments; the survival rate stands at less than 30%. Riskbreakers have the so-called "license to kill" when circumstances demand.
