Hotel The Craftsmen is a 14-room boutique hotel that sits on one of Amsterdam's oldest canals and pays homage to historical Dutch crafts. It's listed as a national monument from 1652. The high wheeler in the Bike Builder room is over a a century old, dating back to around 1900. The room features two nightstands repurposed from the wooden wheels of a 1920s racing bike and a deep door cabinet that was custom made for its original owner.
Hotel The Craftsmen re-opened in 2019 after undergoing an extensive renovation and won TripAdvisor's Travelers Choice Award in 2021 for being amongst the top 10% of the best hotels in the world.
The complimentary breakfast included with our stay was incredible and one of the best complimentary breakfasts we've ever had! We would absolutely recommend a stay at Hotel The Craftsmen and look forward to returning and checking out the other unique craftsmen rooms which include The Boat Builder, The Cartographer, The Bookbinder, The Artist, The Airplane Builder, The Clockmaker, The Tanner, The Woodworker, The Brewer, The Blacksmith, The Shoemaker, The Instrument Maker and The Miller.
