The LEILAC1 Project (Low Emissions Intensity Lime And Cement, A project of the European Union Horizon 2020 Research & Innovation) aims to apply a breakthrough, low-cost technology to enable both the cement and lime industries to reduce their carbon emissions dramatically, while retaining their international competitiveness.
The pilot is being hosted by HeidelbergCement at Lixhe in Belgium.
