Next in our series titled 'Nadopasana' is a concert by Musiri Subramania Iyer for J Krishnamurthi at his residence in Madras. This concert was performed in the early 1960s.
We thank Thyagarajan Sankaran, grand nephew to Subramania Iyer, for sharing this recording with us. When we at Vaak asked him about some of Musiri's memorable concerts, he replied saying "Musiri performed a home concert along with Papa Venkataramaiah and Umayalpuram K Sivaraman for J Krishnamurthi. According to me that concert had the best version of his Enthaninne (Mukhari)". The programme details are as follows:
