Researchers at the HIV Vaccine Trials Network are working toward the goal of welcoming an AIDS-free generation - and they're doing it by developing an effective, global HIV vaccine. Through clinical trials at sites all over the world, efforts are focused on a successful Thai trial, called RV144, which recently provided renewed optimism that the scientific-underpinnings for an HIV Vaccine are coming closer to a reality.
