Concern about concealed weapons is close to home for Belinda Beasley. She and her husband, Brett Beasley, lost their son to a knife attack.
It's also a concern backed by data obtained by the ABC under Right to Information laws.
About 40 children are being expelled every six months for knife-related incidents at school, according to the figures seen by the ABC.
