(15 Sep 2015) Serbia cannot accept being "collateral damage" in the migration crisis, Serbia's Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic said on Tuesday.
Dacic spoke in Prague following talks with his Czech counterpart, Lubomir Zaoralek.
He said Serbia wants to be a part of the solution and work with the neighbours and the European Union.
But he said it was unacceptable for refugees and migrants to return to Serbia while at the same time more were arriving from Greece and Macedonia.
Dacic said 140 thousand migrants and refugees have travelled through Serbia and more were arriving from Greece and Bulgaria through Macedonia, but most wanted to go to more prosperous countries in Western Europe.
Hungary's government sealed-off the border between Serbia and Hungary on Tuesday and introduced a set of harsh new laws meant to stop the huge flow of refugees and other migrants through the country.
