As extremism mounts around the globe, counter-extremism efforts cannot be successful without youth leadership in developing policies and tools. In the Special Session, '#ExtremelyTogether: A Kofi Annan Foundation Initiative', former UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan introduces #ExtremelyTogether, a collective of ten young activists from around the globe devising a toolkit to mitigate the spread of violent extremism.

This session took place at the 2016 One Young World Summit, the world's premier forum for young leaders, in Ottawa, Canada. The Summit brought together 1,300 delegates from all 196 UN-recognised countries, empowering them to make lasting connections to create positive change.
