The Ceylon Private Bus Owners' Association announced that bus fares will remain unchanged despite recent fuel price adjustments.
Chairman Gemunu Wijeratne explained that the current fare structure is based on a specific formula, and a Rs. 10 drop in fuel prices is not enough to justify a fare reduction. He added that a minimum decrease of Rs. 25 in fuel prices would be needed to consider lowering fares.
