Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the opening of a new Hindu temple built on the site of a mosque in the north Indian city of Ayodhya, which was met with celebrations among Hindus across the country.
Analysts have called it the unofficial start of Modi’s campaign for reelection, while critics say politics and religion should not mix, as Henry Wilkins tells us from Ayodhya.
