For people who just want a quick explanation of the Compass Calibration procedure for DJI Phantom, hope this is useful, its super simple I think the words/description in the manual make it sound harder than it is.
Procedure is same for Phantom or Naza V2 or Lite controllers - and is super simple.
1. Switch on TX and plug in phantom battery - wait for beeps
2. toggle GPS/atti switch back and forth until orange LED comes on solid (I do 4 times then stop, but can take a few more)
3 Hold quad in front of you watching LED - turn around on spot, LED will go green after full circle
4. Tip quad straight down with LED at top and turn around again LED goes off/back to normal flashes.
I power cycle before flying, but compass calibration is now complete, you only have to repeat this if you move a long way to new location, or every few weeks as a tune up, not every time you fly.
