In this weeks instalment of our Understanding Stillness series I discuss the notion of stillness as it relates to our emotional consciousness.
If we can come to the understanding that there is no intrinsic feeling or emotion knitted into the fabric of any person, experience or object that we encounter in our day to day lives, then we are able to adopt emotional stillness.
This means that no person, object or encounter has the ability to makes us feel a certain way and that we in fact solicit our own emotions and our own feelings and project them onto the situation. This means that we have a choice about which emotions and feelings we project, and we have the choice to choose peace which ultimately would see us experiencing stillness.
