Umkumbe River Lodge is a rustic luxury and very elegant lodge in the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve in South Africa.
With unrivaled wildlife diversity, the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve borders the Kruger National Park and covers about 65,000 hectares of pristine wilderness land. It’s important to note, there are no barriers between the private reserve and the national park, which means wildlife can roam freely between these parks.
Umkumbe River Lodge is located on the banks of the Sand River and, in addition to the Big Five, offers a plethora of birds, reptiles, mammals, and amphibians.
Umkumbe is a family-friendly lodge that is owner run and managed. This small, secluded lodge offers its guests an intimate and personal safari experience, with a very friendly staff to look after their every need.
