Boris Johnson’s plan to re-write parts of his Brexit withdrawal agreement will break international law, Northern Ireland secretary Brandon Lewis has admitted.
Speaking in parliament on Tuesday, the cabinet minister said the proposals unveiled by the government this week break the law in a “very specific and limited way”.
