A Line of showers and storms will sweep through the area early this morning. Periods of heavy rain, gusty winds and lightning will be embedded within this line of storms, but the threat for severe weather is not very high. The storms will clear the area by 9 a.m. as the cold front pushed south and cooler temperatures begin to arrive.
Temperatures will remain in the low-middle 60s into early this afternoon, with northwesterly winds increasing to 10-20 mph, gusting to 30 mph at times. Skies will remain mostly cloudy through the day today and into tonight as temperatures really begin to drop. Wind chills tonight will drop into the 30s, and even 20s in some places, as actual temperatures settle in the upper 30s to near 40 degrees.
The sunshine will return Saturday, but it'll remain breezy and chilly with high temperatures only in the middle 50s. The winds will relax a little Saturday night, allowing temperatures to get even colder. Low temperatures into Sunday morning will be in the mid-upper 30s, with some places dipping down to near freezing. Frost will be possible Sunday morning, especially in areas away from the water.
