Former WBC lightweight champion “El Terminator” Edwin Valero was once a phenomenal KO artist. Sometime in 2010, Valero was perceived as the fighter who could KO the then 7-division champ Pacquiao.
Shortly after Valero successfully dismantled Mexico’s Antonio DeMarco to win a ninth-round TKO, his name was mentioned as a potential future opponent for Pacquiao. However, the fight didn’t come to fruition and instead, Pacquiao faced former world champion Shane Mosley
In April 2010, Valero committed suicide in his prison cell, a day after he was accused of murdering his own wife. About a week after his death, his brother Edward revealed that “El Terminator” himself has figured out how to finish Pacquiao.
According to Edward, Valero even demonstrated how he would be able to KO Pacquiao with his punches.
“He would tell me that he knew exactly how to catch Pacquiao with his punches. He would show me the movements of how he would step back and around and throw the punches. It meant a lot to him," Edward revealed
