In this video Greg explains the differences between Carfax and Autocheck and tells you which one to choose. Carfax is a better choice because of the information it provides includes dealer services which autocheck does not. If you are buying a used car you will want to see the maintenance history on the vehicle history report. Auto check will however provide the dmv events and registration history. But in my opinion that is inadequate for the used car buyer who needs the best report that can be bought and carfax is the clear winner. As a professional car buyer I pull up hundreds of vehicle history reports every month and I would not have the success I have if it were not for carfax. Autocheck is cheaper but nearly worthless to me.
