We headed over to our friends local lab in Denver to let them use The Osprey. We ended up putting in 11,366g of fresh frozen Dayglow, 40 gallons of water, and 30 gallons (approx 120lbs of ice) for 3 total washes, about 15mins a piece, around 350rpm. The total melt yield was 463g dry, right at a 4% return, exactly what is expected from this material in a normal hand wash. No green tint to the product, loss in yield, or potency.
It is worth noting that if they could do it again, they would have used about 5-10 gallons less ice, just to allow for a smoother operation of the machine. Plus they didn't see the loss in ice due to heat they see from hand washing. We hope to hit you all with more informational videos soon!
