We were nervous about how the audience would respond - but what actually happened was the one thing we didn't expect...
This took place just before a talk by Greg Doran from the BP-sponsored Royal Shakespeare Company (RSC), about the Roman poet Ovid, in the British Museum's BP Lecture Theatre. When even their own audiences are showing support for our interventions, the message could not be clearer: it's time for the RSC and the British Museum to embrace #FossilFreeCulture and #DropBP.
The RSC made a £4 million surplus last year thanks to Matilda The Musical, giving it the perfect opportunity to end its BP deal.
