There are so many things that we take granted; there are so many times when we forget that freedom is never free. Thousands upon thousands of young men sacrificed their life so that you could live yours. We can never give back what they gave to us, and we won’t ever have to experience what they experienced. During the making of this short film, I thought about those things. From now on, I won’t look at Remembrance Day as just another event in our year, neither will my mind be employed by irrelevant things during the two-minute silence; and I encourage the audience to do the same.
