While Obama easily beat rival, Hillary Clinton, in North Carolina, he lost to her in Indiana by just a few percentage points. The Democratic presidential hopeful has now increased his lead in both the popular vote and those of the so-called 'super delegates' - who will be crucial to determining the winner of such a close race.
