The Faroe Islands are an archipelago of 18 islands, with 52 thousand inhabitants, considered an independent nation inside Denmark, with their culture, language and the power to sign their own international treaties. The Danish flag doesn’t wave over the Faroe Islands, but their own does, white, with the Nordic Red Cross, with blue borders.
We want a EU that recognises and accepts minorities and stateless nations. Over the last decades, we have seen an increase in civic movements across Europe asking for self-determination and devolution, whether that is recognition,federalism, or independence.
