David Wisner's guest today on "This Day and Age" is human rights activist Areti Georgili, who operates a bookshop in central Athens dedicated to all dimensions of human rights and freedom of expression. Ms Georgili describes the types of activities her shop organized before the outbreak of COVID-19 in Greece, and some of the challenges she faces engaging her stakeholders as Greece emerges from the two-month government-mandated lockdown. She also discusses the status in Greece of key issues like gender equality, and concludes with an overview of the difficulties social entrepreneurs face in Greece.

About "This Day and Age"
The purpose of this series of interviews is to talk informally, remotely, about what to expect after Covid-19 subsides. The day after, so to speak. The program will serve to highlight in English the thinking of Greek colleagues on a subject which is just now beginning to see the light of day in select circles. Invited guests will be welcome to reflect on how their training may have equipped them to think in post-virus terms, share what they are reading on the subject, and draw attention to some of the inspiring efforts Hellenes are making to help their fellow citizens cope with the lockdown.
David Wisner is Professor of International Relations at ACT -- the American College of Thessaloniki and Executive Director of the Dukakis Center.
