Clinging to a steep hillside, high above the River Vistula, Przegorzaly Castle is home to what must be one of the most spectacular restaurant experiences in Krakow. U Ziyada, named after its owner Ziyad Raoof -- a Kurdish Iraqi resident in Krakow since the early 90s -- is an elegant restaurant whose outstanding characteristic is its large sweeping summer terrace offering panoramic views over the river, the floodplains beyond, and on a clear day even the Tatra mountains on the Slovakian border.
