Most Standing Seam Metal Roof Panels are snapped into a clip system that is screwed down to decking. The panels float on the clips while naturally expanding and contracting in various temperatures. Roof penetrations required by screw-down snow guards may interfere with this floating process and can void the roof warranty. The patented Snojax II is the world’s first polycarbonate adhesive-mounted metal roof snow guard that was introduced to the metal roof industry in 1995. The glue mounting will not harm or interfere with the thermal expansion and contraction of the panel and does not mar the seam. With an interchangeable base, the flat side can be mounted in a 5-inch flat area of the panel or simply flip the unit over, ribbed side down, to straddle a minor rib. The virgin grade, polycarbonate plastic used to make this product is UV stable and will not cause galvanic reactions between the snow guards and the metal roof panels.
