STORYLINE:
France's volatile and pivotal presidential campaign wound down on Friday with polls pointing to a close result in weekend balloting as (m) millions of voters remained undecided.
For his last day of campaign, Conservative presidential candidate Nicolas Sarkozy went to Les Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer, in the south of France where he toured a farm which breeds prize bulls.
Sarkozy went on a one-hour long horse ride with ranchers and commented on how hard the work was.
He said he preferred his job as candidate for the presidential elections.
"It's hard (this job), you wouldn't believe it at first, and bulls are clever. You must go to the left then to the right. In the end, when I think about it, I prefer the presidential campaign. Honestly it's easier. You must be careful not to fall from the horse, that the bull doesn't charge me. "
Sarkozy is a charismatic conservative with a law-and-order reputation, he leads the polls but is not guaranteed victory.
Sarkozy cracked down on illegal immigration and youth crime as interior minister and pledges to loosen up France's lethargic, state-driven economy.
Meanwhile Socialist presidential candidate Segolene Royal, chose to go on a walk in a typical Parisien street, the rue Montorgueil.
"It's up to the voters to decide (who will win)," Royal said.
