Their Story - Episode 5: PART 1 - WWII POW, Jewish Officer, and Bomber Navigator

On the first part of this episode of Their Story, we end up traveling to Berkeley California to meet with Paul Canin and his wife Helen. They were incredible and extremely hospitable.

Lieutenant Paul Canin details his harrowing experience as a first lieutenant in the United States Air Force during World War II. He was a member of the 485th Bomb Group who on his fourth mission was shot down and became a POW.

His story is unlike any other. Mr Canin, who was a successful architect following the war, used his artistic skills to paint his experiences in camp. As a result, his story was detailed in the most beautiful watercolor paintings that he keeps in a book and allows us to share with you in these videos.
