Chinese police have taken part in anti-terror exercises as the country faces a rising tide of attacks by terrorists and religious extremists. On Thursday, 39 people were killed and more than 90 others injured in a series of car bombings in Urumqi, the capital of northwest Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. It's prompted major cities to heighten security in public places and tighten control of explosives and weapons, with police across China being put through anti-terror training. Report by Jeremy Barnes.
